Title I
Title I is a federally-funded program which provides services to schools based on student economic need. The goal of Title I is to provide instructional services and activities which support students in meeting the state’s challenging performance standards. A Title I school-wide program permits schools to use resources to upgrade the entire educational program of the school and to raise academic achievement for all the students. Carrollton Elementary and Carrollton Middle are Title I schools in our district.
Parental Information and Resource Center (PIRC)
The purpose of the PIRC program, as established by the U.S. Department of Education, is to help implement successful and effective parental involvement policies, programs, and activities that lead to improvements in student academic achievement and strengthen partnerships among parents, teachers, principals, administrators and other school personnel in meeting the educational needs of children. Each U.S. state and many territories have PIRCs.
Student Insurance
Carrollton City Schools has selected the Student Insurance Plan, underwritten by Mutual of Omaha and administered by Health Special Risk, Inc., to make reliable coverage available to parents. If you don’t have other insurance, this plan may be a resource to consider. Additionally, even if you have other coverage, this plan can help fill expensive “gaps” caused by deductibles and co-pays. Coverage may be purchased at any time during the school year online at www.K12StudentInsurance.com.
Note: This insurance is offered as a courtesy to our student families and is not considered an endorsement by Carrollton City Schools.
