In an effort to conserve energy and reduce costs during the summer months, the Carrollton City School System has implemented a four-day work week through July 22. All schools and system operations centers will be open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Employees will work extended hours on those days and take shorter lunch breaks to compensate for the Friday shutdowns. A similar program followed last summer produced considerable savings for the district.
