TRANSPORTATION
Skip Veljkov, Director
Carrollton City School System buses transport about 1,700 children to and from school daily, covering approximately 90,000 miles by the end of school year. The school system’s 20 buses annually consume about 50,000 gallons of diesel fuel, post 60,000 miles for field trips alone and cost almost $14,000 a year to maintain. All drivers not only hold specialized commercial driver’s licenses, but each is certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
Riding requirements/expectations
Riders must remain in their seats at all times. Riders must not yell. Drivers cannot operate a bus safely when riders are behaving in a way that distracts them.
How to request bus transportation service
If your child is not a regular rider and on occasion needs to ride the bus, please contact the school so a temporary pass can be issued.
Bus route information can be obtained from the Transportation office located at 930 Hay's Mill Road.
