CHS essay contest winners hold stand in a line holding their certificates, with their teachers and principal standing in a line behind them.

CARROLLTON, GA — Nine Carrollton High School students placed in the Georgia Rotary Clubs Laws of Life Essay Contest, which is designed to encourage teenagers to articulate their values and ideals through storytelling to recognize and reward good character. Locally, the Carrollton Dawnbreakers Rotary Club sponsors the contest. Grade-level winners and honorable mentions were honored at a breakfast hosted by Rotary on April 29 at Sunset Hills Country Club. 

Honorable mentions are 9th grader Larissa Babino, 10th graders Genesis Martinez-Araujo and Savannah Ellerbee, and 11th graders Davis Haas and Payton Johsnon.

Demonstrating excellence in their writing were 11th-Grade/School Winner Aaliayah Tucker, 9th-Grade Winner Talia Jones-Dorsey, 10th-Grade Winner Emma Engelbird, and 12th-Grade Winner Kennedy Malagon.
